Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis

   • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles.
   • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
   • Conduct test drives to assess vehicle performance.

2. Repair and Maintenance

   • Repair or replace defective parts such as brakes, suspension systems, engines, and transmissions.
   • Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other preventive maintenance tasks.
   • Align wheels and adjust steering systems.
   • Service air conditioning and heating systems.

3. Electrical and Computer Systems

   • Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and battery issues.
   • Work with computerized vehicle systems, such as electronic fuel injection, anti-lock brakes, and navigation systems.

4. Safety and Compliance

   • Follow safety protocols when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
   • Ensure all repairs and modifications meet Canadian vehicle safety standards.
   • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.

5. Customer Service and Communication

   • Explain repair and maintenance procedures to customers.
   • Provide cost estimates and recommendations for vehicle maintenance.
   • Keep customers informed about the condition of their vehicles.

   • Keep the workshop clean and organized.
   • Maintain and update technical knowledge by attending training sessions.
   • Follow environmental regulations for the disposal of hazardous materials like oil and batteries.
