We are currently looking to hire a counter sales agent for our Miramichi, Campbellton and Bathurst Stations (New Brunswick). The base station would be Campbellton.
If your idea of excellent customer service is to provide a warm and personalized customer experience, meet the needs of passengers with eagerness, efficiently and sincerely express your appreciation, we need you. Our reputation is based on our excellent customer service, in a safe and secure environment.
You will guide passengers in the station or on the platform accordingly and you will also:
- Sell and verify tickets
- Process baggage fees.
- Validate checked baggage allotments
- Make announcements and provide information on train arrivals, departures as well as delays
- Assist passengers with special needs
- Perform general janitorial duties in and outside the station
- Complete safety and equipment inspections
Here are a few other tasks you will be responsible for:
- Manipulate baggage, packages or other items such as sports equipment
- Work outdoors in all climactic conditions
- Operate a motorized vehicle in narrow areas
- Load luggage aboard the train

Some Important Details About The Job SCHEDULE
As the successful candidate will be working at various New Brunswick station locations, you must be available for work within the hours of 6:30 am to 11:00 pm as station locations have varying open and close schedules. Minimum of 20 hours per week.
Monday and tuesday : off
Wednesday : 7pm-11pm
Thursday: 6:30 am-10:30 am
Friday: 7pm-11pm
Saturday: 6:30 am-10:30 am
Sunday: 7pm- 11pm
Please note that working schedules may change based on operational demands, special circumstances and train delays. You must be very flexible when it comes to your work schedule and expect to work holidays as well. You will need to be able to go to all of the 3 stations: Bathurst, Campbellton and Miramichi and as such, a personal vehicle is a requirement to be hired for the role.

$26.68 / hour

You Are Well-suited For This Challenge If You - Have a strong ability to communicate with a smile, both in English and French
- Possess a high school diploma
- Have a minimum of one year of customer service experience ideally in tourism, hospitality or airline company
- Have great computer and Internet skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license (you will be required to drive a motorized vehicle for baggage and must drive to various New Brunswick station assignments).
- Are physically able to lift up to 23 Kg
