Client Overview

Our client is a leading organization in the financial and digital experience space, seeking a Visual Designer to support ongoing rebranding and design system initiatives. This 6-month hybrid contract (with possibility of extension) offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to enterprise-level digital design projects.

Job Overview

The Visual Designer will apply user-centered design principles to create accessible, scalable, and visually compelling interfaces across digital platforms. The ideal candidate has strong technical proficiency, deep experience in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to translate strategic direction into consistent, on-brand design components.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine UI components and libraries within established design systems
• Conduct page audits, competitor analyses, and create mockups and visual concepts to support project goals
• Collaborate with developers to ensure proper implementation of designs, focusing on accessibility, CSS, and HTML alignment
• Utilize CMS platforms such as AEM, Contentful, or WordPress for design and content integration
• Participate in rebranding initiatives, preparing and presenting mood boards and design directions to stakeholders
• Maintain consistency across digital products through scalable design processes and best practices
• Communicate effectively with designers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure design integrity and usability

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in visual, UI, or digital design with a focus on user-centered design principles
• Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.)
• Experience conducting page audits, competitor analyses, and developing high-fidelity mockups
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards
• Experience with CMS tools such as AEM, Contentful, or WordPress
• Proven experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting creative concepts
• Previous experience in the banking or financial industry is an asset
• Hybrid role: in-office every Wednesday and third Friday of each month
