Job Description

Our automotive manufacturing client is seeking a skilled 442A Licensed Maintenance Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production needs.

Qualifications

• Technical Trade School with 442A License (or equivalent).
• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of IATF 16949/CSR and ISO 14001 standards preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Electrical troubleshooting and ability to read/interpret blueprints.
• Pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting.
• PLC programming and diagnostics.
• Grinding, fabrication, and general equipment repair.
• Certifications/Training: Forklift operation, Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
• Languages: English (required); German is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to line calls, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to support continuous production.
• Install and commission new plant equipment as required.
• Fabricate fixtures, workstations, and other production aids.
• Modify equipment to meet safety, quality, and efficiency requirements.
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs.
• Carry out facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
• Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out and other safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, IATF 16949, CSR (Customer Specific Requirements), and ISO 14001 standards.
• Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives.
• Exercise authority to stop production in cases of safety or quality concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
