Job Description

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Program Manager for a 12-month contract with its GTA based customer.

Work Location

Hybrid (Mississauga)

Key Tasks

• Oversee the governance and performance of programs and smaller projects within the portfolio of projects.
• Provide operational line of sight into ongoing initiatives, ensuring that all activities align with strategic goals.
• Manage select project workstreams (e.g., member portals, pension system launch, billing platform enhancements).
• Coordinate with IT and business teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and deliver expected outcomes.
• Report progress to senior leadership with a focus on high-level insights rather than administrative governance.
• Build strong relationships across complex stakeholder groups to facilitate collaboration and manage resistance to change.
• Provide continuity and structure during a leadership transition period within the program.

Key Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in program or portfolio management, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Experience with pension system or benefits platform implementations
• Experience leading projects that establish governance around operational improvements (work prioritization, task tracking)

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT and business transformation projects; technical literacy without being hands-on technical.
• Strong understanding of operational governance, portfolio oversight, and reporting practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business units and brands.
• Resilient and composed under pressure; able to navigate challenging and occasionally contentious stakeholder environments.
• Relationship-builder with the ability to gain trust and drive alignment across executive, operational, and technical teams.
• Strategic thinker who balances governance with practical execution.
• Self-starter capable of operating with minimal oversight in a fast-moving environment.

Assets

• Hands-on pension system implementation experience is a plus.
