As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for a residential community. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, as you will interact regularly with community members and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor access points at the residential location to verify credentials and allow entry to authorized individuals.
  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate logs of activities, observations, and incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Follow emergency response procedures when necessary and coordinate with local emergency services as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
