Job Requirements

• Proven work experience as an Animator, Graphic Designer or similar role.
• Demonstrable portfolio of completed video editing projects, animations, motion graphics, and design samples.
• Solid knowledge of editing and digital sketching software, particularly Adobe Suite
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent typesetting skills and design sensibilities.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team, as well as work individually.

Advantageous :

• Understanding of educational and developmental goals in young learners.
• Ability to work with our teachers on implementing new materials and programs.

Job Description

Video Editor/Animator

Laurus International School of Science is Japan's first and only STEM-focused international school. We embrace the latest technology and innovative teaching methodologies to prepare the children of today for the world of tomorrow. Through inquiry-based and project-based learning, our students explore science, creativity, and digital literacy in hands-on ways using robotics, 3D printing, and eLearning tools.

As part of our expanding eLearning and creative media initiatives, we are seeking a talented Video Editor / Animator to join our dynamic creative team.

Responsibilities:

• Working with raw audio and video clips to create a polished finished product.
• Editing, animating and adding motion graphics to projects.
• Creating original designs and assets for print & digital learning applications.

Working Conditions

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30–17:30 (40 hours/week, 1-hour lunch break)
• Holidays: Weekends, national holidays, and 3 weeks of school holidays + flexible paid leave
• Location: Tokyo (in-person role)
• Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
