Sr. Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer at Talent Groups (formerly Edgelink)

Location: Irving, TX - Hybrid - 4 days on site a week

Salary: up to $155k a year + bonus

We are seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer to strengthen cloud and enterprise security. In this role, youll design, implement, and tune advanced security solutions to safeguard networks, assets, and users across both on-premises and cloud environments (Azure/AWS). Youll work closely with cybersecurity, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure security aligns with business goals.

What Youll Do

• Engineer and support enterprise security technologies (DLP, SIEM, endpoint, cloud security, IAM, web gateways, etc.).
• Develop and tune Splunk queries, custom detection rules, and automated security policies.
• Lead cloud security initiatives, incident response, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate across teams to build guardrails, strengthen monitoring, and enhance resilience.
• Drive adoption of best practices, compliance standards, and new security tools.

What You Bring

• 35 years of cybersecurity, cloud security, or network engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure/AWS security, infrastructure design, and monitoring.
• Strong background in cloud security controls, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and DevOps environments.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Go, or similar) and IaC tools like Terraform.
• One or more certifications (CISSP, CCNP-Security, GIAC, CEH, CPTS) preferred.
