Position Description

This position is a member of the General Affairs department of BSJP and is responsible for finance and human resources.

Job Responsibilities

1. Performs accounting and bookkeeping for B&S Japan consistent with Japanese legal requirements. Includes responsibilities in AR, AP.
2. Works with banks to maintain cash journal and perform statement reconciliation.
3. Responsibilities in Finance include monitoring and reporting cash flow and operating expense; monthly and yearly reporting and closing for B&S Japan. Collaborates with controller for Asia region. Summarize AOP (adjusted operating profit) and Forecast for B&S Japan.
4. Prepares detailed expense reports of BSJ division 2 team and weekly sales reports for Milwaukee office. Processes and pays associate expense reports.
5. Company liaison to organizations and professionals outside of company for diverse business purposes including: tax auditors and our accounting firm and payroll service provider, labor & social insurance agency.
6. Responsibilities in HR include developing and implementing new and/or modified programs in HR functional areas, processing maintenance, personnel records filing, vacation tracking and associated reports. Provides monthly HR reports to HR director - Asia (Org. chart, head counts, vacation, integrity, etc.) Coordinates compensation and benefit issues to ensure payroll, labor and social insurance and retirement plans are processed accurately and on time.
7. Works with managers on recruitment efforts for open positions.
8. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

• Language skills: Japanese skil: Native; English skill: Middle level, Reading & Writing (Must), Speaking & Hearing (Basic)
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

University degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field
• Experience in the HR field is desirable.
• Experience in accounting software usage is desirable.
