Job Description
We are looking for a Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our growing team at Bellmore Dermatology . The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care in a dermatology setting.
You’ll assist providers with both medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures , help ensure a smooth patient experience, and maintain a clean and efficient clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for exams and procedures
Take and document patient histories and vital signs
Assist providers during biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments
Set up and clean treatment rooms before and after procedures
Apply and remove dressings or bandages as directed
Handle specimen labeling and submission to labs
Manage inventory of medical and skincare supplies
Provide post-procedure instructions and patient education
Support front desk or administrative staff when needed (scheduling, phone calls, EMR updates)
Qualifications
Previous dermatology or medical assisting experience preferred
Knowledge of common dermatology procedures and terminology a plus
Strong attention to detail and patient confidentiality
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
EMR experience preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus, but not required
